Breaking News: Racist Old Man Still Racist

So Trump called some countries “s[**]tholes,” and now everyone’s like, “My gosh, here’s the proof that he’s racist, it’s finally out in the open, we got him people, this is it!” One of the VERY FIRST THINGS that Trump said when he announced his candidacy was the (I thought) famous line about Mexico sending rapists, drug dealers, etc. etc. (and some, he assumed, were good people). Not to mention EVERYTHING ELSE HE’S SAID IN THE LAST 1.5 YEARS. THIS IS NOT NEW. This doesn’t mean anything other than they guy WE ALREADY KNEW WAS RACIST is STILL RACIST. This is not some defining moment—it’s just another example. So don’t act like suddenly something’s going to happen. We can’t expect trump to dig his own grave with the same shovel with which he built his sandcastle. We need to change the tide so that castle gets washed away.
